A common question
Do I need advanced equipment?
No; choose safe tools suited to the material.
How Zayenha Arts measures Crafts
Your craft begins in your hands — what we measure is how well you understand the material they shape.
This isn't a verdict on your hands — it's a precise, evidence-based measure of how well you understand your material's structure and your ability to shape it into a finished piece.
Scored by criteria, not by impression
Scoring criteria across three levels measure how well you understand your material — ceramic, wood, textile, metal, or leather — and its structure, not just how the finished piece looks. Every score comes with evidence pulled from your own work.
A precise gap, not a general verdict
Practicing alone, you can tell a piece didn't come out right, but not exactly why. Here the gap gets pinpointed — in your understanding of the material or in how you executed its structure.
A plan built on your material, not around it
If your gap is in understanding your material's structure, your plan doesn't jump you into complex joinery or carving before you've mastered basic forms — it moves from a simple, structurally clear piece to a more detailed one.
