Process Documentation Integrity

Quality and honesty of documenting the making stages and the soundness of their craft sequence, not the result alone.

The five levels

Each anchor describes what separates one level from the next — not a general description of quality. This is the text the evaluator itself reads.

  • Level 1 Below Standard

No stage documentation; only the result with no trace of process.

Example A final photo with no prior step.

  • Level 2 Approaching

Incomplete documentation skipping important craft stages.

Example Photos of start and end without the middle stages.

  • Level 3 At Standard

Honest documentation of a sound sequence of stages.

Example Pottery steps from centring to firing.

  • Level 4 Above Standard

Documentation revealing the craft decisions and their reasons at each stage.

Example A note explaining the kiln-temperature choice.

  • Level 5 Excellence

A complete, honest process log telling the whole making journey like a lesson.

Example Documentation a beginner could learn the craft from.
