Metal Symmetry

Symmetry of the metal piece's axes and precision of its repeated measurements.

The five levels

Each anchor describes what separates one level from the next — not a general description of quality. This is the text the evaluator itself reads.

  • Level 1 Below Standard

Clear asymmetry that unsettles the piece.

Example Two mismatched sides in a jewellery piece.

  • Level 2 Approaching

    Approximate symmetry with noticeable deviation.

Example A repeat of slightly differing units.

  • Level 3 At Standard

    Readable symmetry and consistent measurement.

Example Jewellery clearly symmetric on both sides.

  • Level 4 Above Standard

High precision and symmetry serving form and function.

Example A disciplined repeat building a visual rhythm.

  • Level 5 Excellence

Total command: refined symmetry or its deliberate break serving meaning.

Example A piece so precisely symmetric it seems machined.
