Articulation Precision

Producing letters from their correct points of articulation, especially the similar ones

The five levels

Each anchor describes what separates one level from the next — not a general description of quality. This is the text the evaluator itself reads.

  • Level 1 Below Standard

Confusing similar letters and distorting articulation points

Example Failing to distinguish ḍād from ẓāʾ or sīn from ṣād

  • Level 2 Approaching

Most articulation correct with slips in the difficult letters

Example Qāf and kāf occasionally overlap

  • Level 3 At Standard

Correct articulation making every letter distinct

Example The listener distinguishes every letter without confusion

  • Level 4 Above Standard

Precise articulation holding up under speed and emotion

Example Letters stay clear even at the emotional peak

  • Level 5 Exemplary

Professional articulation making the language itself musical

Example Your letter production becomes part of the performance's beauty
